Places of War, will have the concept of an installation, consisting of an inventory of interventional photographs, with chromatic alteration and the use of drawing, five paintings on cut out plexiglass and mounted in light boxes, on the theme of war.
The current scenario of war in various parts of the world was the starting point for this original work.
Cities have become targets for political activity in permanent coercion. Formerly places for meetings and sharing, they are now ephemeral spaces of rupture and conflict.
Starting from an inventory of images about the war and its consequences in the communities of several countries, the artist selected a set of photographs about the chaotic state of the cities, which were the target of attacks or bombings.
Changing the chromatic aspect, the images were also subjected to a graphic intervention to define a kind of chaos geometry.
The plexiglass structures that make up the plastic space, from functional constructions, have now materialized into useless objects, assuming an atmosphere reversed to the status of chaos and, at the same time, in territories of places with archaeological sense, in permanent collapse.
An original soundtrack composed by the musician Alexei Tolpygo, takes us to a cinematic scenario.
